Free Webcasts
Free Webcasts What are webcasts?
Our webcasts are informative sessions lasting around 45 minutes, often with guest speakers from other departments or EMIS partners (depending on topic).
Surely they’re not free?
Yes they are. All they cost you is your time.
So how do they work?
You will initially receive an invitation to register for the event. Do this as soon as possible to reserve your place (places are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis). Registration usually closes well before the event so don't leave it too late.
About a week before the event, you will receive an invitation email containing a link to the event. Click this link 10-15 minutes before the start time so you have time to join the session fully before the start. Please try not to be late as you may miss some vital information.
Once in the session you will get instructions on accessing the teleconference. Watch the 65 second video below to see how this works.
What do I need?
All you need is a computer with a fast internet connection (N3 or broadband) and a telephone. The webcasts use a free 0800 number, so there’s no charge there either.
How do I book?
