Medicine Manager

EMIS Access

EMIS Access provides secure internet services* from your practice to patients, to enable patients to:

  • View, book or cancel appointments.
  • View and alter their address details.
  • View a list of their current medication and send repeat prescription requests.
  • Send short messages to the practice.
Potential patients can also pre-register with the surgery. Patients access these services via a secure server and cannot view the actual practice system.
 
You can book a three-hour on-site training session for a maximum of four delegates, to configure EMIS Access, discuss best practice and to see a demonstration of how patients can use the EMIS Access website.
 
The EMIS Access training session is aimed at practice staff responsible for the maintenance of the appointments system, for example, doctors, practice managers and reception managers.

Envisage

Envisage is an advanced visual information system that combines health awareness with communication and patient call. Communicated via an LCD screen, Envisage messages offer clear, concise and targeted presentations of health and practice information to patients whilst they wait for their appointments.

Palm

EMIS PalmGP for LV and PCS provides secure, offline access to EMIS clinical functions. Healthcare professionals can now record consultations and view medical records from the Palm Tungsten range of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).
Patient data is downloaded seamlessly and securely from the main system onto the Palm PDA (without locking the medical record held at the practice). This can then be used outside the surgery when on home visits, in nursing homes and schools, and even by out-of-hours doctors to view the full, up-to-date patient medical record. In addition, new consultations can be added with all the functionality of the main system, which can be uploaded into the clinical system when the device is connected.
Standard training will consist of a three-hour session. This session will provide users with an in depth knowledge of how to install and configure PalmGP devices and will demonstrate the full integration with the EMIS software.
The training will be structured as follows:
  • Setting up the handheld devices (maximum 2 per session) and performing a HotSync.
  • Downloading and uploading patient records.
  • Viewing medical records and consultations.
  • Adding consultations and prescribing drugs.
  • Maintenance of your handheld device.
Note: For more than two devices, a full days training can be provided so the extra time can be used to train more staff or to install and configure additional PalmGP devices (approximately one hour per device).

Dental

EMIS Dental is a powerful new dental module developed by EMIS that will offer dental clinical terms (Read codes) with search functionality, and is the only module to be fully integrated with EMIS PCS to produce one complete patient record. This allows both dental and clinical records to be held on one secure system, whilst saving you money as a result of combining the costs for annual support and system training. 

 

 

What training is available?

 

The half day on-site course has been designed to provide training on the Envisage patient call system. Practice staff participating in the course can learn how to benefit from all the available functionality, and use the system effectively and efficiently. 

Envisage seamlessly integrates with both EMIS LV and PCS.
